Hello lovelies! Continuing with our theme this week of Southern California weddings, I’m super excited to finally share Brooke & Bryce’s Los Angeles Temple wedding! I have already talked about how much I adore these beautiful people, so watching their JOY this whole day made me feel all gooey and warm inside.
Los Angeles Temple
When I asked Brooke & Bryce what their favorite part of the wedding day was, both of them said it was their sealing in the Los Angeles Temple! Brooke had always envisioned her favorite part being “getting ready,” but she discovered that was by far the most stressful! She was so overwhelmed and stressed but the moment she walked in the temple holding Bryce’s hand, every ounce of stress left her body.
She loved being surrounded by so many people who they love, including friends and family who had flown in from all over to be with them. She will never forget the spirit or love she felt being in the sealing room.
Bryce also said the sealing was his favorite moment…it was amazing being sealed to Brooke for eternity! Another favorite from the day was the surprise dance that Bryce, his dad, and groomsmen did for Brooke at the reception. They had a blast learning the choreography (even though they looked like fools trying to do it). The look on Brooke’s face was priceless. All the embarrassment was worth it!
What they want to Remember
Brooke and Bryce said they never want to forget the feeling they had coming out from being sealed. The love they felt for one another in that moment was nothing they had ever felt up to that point. Every day since, that feeling has grown stronger.
They also want to remember how awesome their reception was! It was amazing to walk into the reception and see all those who had loved and supported them, through childhood, crazy teenage years, and beyond. They felt SO special and can’t thank everyone enough who was a part of their special day!
The Honeymoon
Bryce and Brooke were gifted a once in a lifetime honeymoon by his parents. They went to Tulum, Mexico where they stayed in the cutest little beach hut! They swam with turtles, zip-lined, climbed old Mayan ruins, kayaked, swam in underground caves, and ate the most delicious food! They loved just finally being able to spend so much time together. After a year and a half of a long distance relationship, spending a week in their private paradise with no cable (or even walls between the bed and bathroom), they were able to have all the time in the world with no agenda.
Wedding Gifts
Brooke & Bryce said that ALL the gifts they received were so thoughtful and very much appreciated. It’s hard to pick a favorite! There was one gift that really stuck out to them. It was given by a 4-year-old girl…a handmade picture, framed, that says “Be not afraid, only believe.” Mark 5:36. They keep it on their nightstand by their bed so every morning they can be reminded to continue to grow their faith and strengthen their foundation as a married couple. That way, when times get hard (they are still in the Honeymoon Stage), they know, by their faith, they can endure anything!
