Everything is “Bigger” in Texas! {Texas Wedding Photographer}

Hi Ya’ll!! )Yes I get very southern when talking about my southern brides!) Haha-Happy Monday! I am so excited to share just a little sneak peek from the wedding I had earlier this month in Texas. When I say “everything is bigger in Texas” I of course mean Aurielle’s fun attitude and Jeff’s heart. These two were so made for each other and I was so incredibly honored to be able to travel to them and capture such a beautiful and special day! I LOVE being able to travel and I am not only grateful to the brides that fly ME to THEM, but I am also overly grateful to my husband who watches our two kids while mom is out of town. My heart and success belong to that man. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. OK back to The new Mr. & Mrs. Geddes!! Have I mentioned how much I love and adore them?? I could go on for pages about how fantastic these two are, both as individuals and as a couple. I cannot wait to share more  from their beautiful day. But for now here is a sneak peek from their Dallas wedding, and a few of my favorites from their engagement shoot here in Utah. XOXO

Uniquely Beautiful {Utah Wedding Photographer}

One of my favorite brides had her wedding at one of my favorite venues in Utah, this past fall. Megan is a beautiful person inside and out and I was so lucky to be her photographer and now I feel even more lucky to call her my friend. Her wedding was at the beautiful Wadley Farms in Lindon, Utah in October. The grounds are to die for! I loved all of her unique qualities and loved that she stayed committed to who she was as a person as well as a bride. Her jean jacket was just adorable and her Italian vintage boots rocked my socks! I loved her hot chocolate bar and the little details she made all her own. Her entire wedding party were some of the coolest people I have ever met. They love and adore Megan (and Dallin) just like I do. I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Megan. I guess some people were just born to be friends!:)Megs, I love you and I am so grateful for all of your kind words, and your support to me as a photographer. I wish the world was filled with brides just like you!! Love and adore you! XO

Thanksgiving Point Bridal Showcase Recap {Utah Wedding Photographer}

I had such a great time this last Saturday at the Thanksgiving Point Bridal Showcase. It was so great to meet so many beautiful women, who are all at such a special time in their lives. They are all about to embark on a journey with “the one” and I couldn’t be happier for them! Being married is such an amazing blessing, and being able to capture those memories for someone to remember years down the road, is an incredible honor! I am so grateful for all of my 2013 brides and can’t wait for each one of you to marry the man of your dreams! I am so happy with the girls I met, and I can’t wait for the friendships we will form while celebrating your love. I have also decided to extend my “special” through the end of January. Any bride that books her wedding package this month will receive $100 off her package of choice. Thank you all again for the opportunity to meet with you and get to know you a little bit. I sure do LOVE my job!

The Best of the Best: Brides & Grooms 2012

Tomorrow is the big day for me: Bridal Fair 2013!! (Be sure to come visit the Thanksgiving Point Show Barn from 10-6!!) I am so excited about my booth this year (a totally different look then last year!). I love all of the new sample albums I have, and all the new beautiful couples that will be displayed! Like I have said a million times, I have the prettiest brides, and the grooms are pretty dang handsome too!! For those of you who may be out of state, I am featuring my “Best of” album here today, so that everyone can see for themselves!! Although, I must say, the real thing in person, is amazing. I know I did something right when even my husband comes home from work and says “wow this looks amazing!”. Again, thank you to all of those amazing people who support me, my vision, my passion and who allow me to be part of and capture those special moments on a one of a kind day! XO times ten!!

The Best of the Best: Engagements 2012

I am so stinkin’ excited to share this blog post today! It has been such a therapeutic project for me, and has been so extremely good for me to see my blessings laid out to see right in front of my face. I think sometimes it is human nature (or maybe just my nature) to always strive for something better, bigger, faster, shinier, etc. I am a very competitive person, just ask my mom she will tell you I would always try to cheat at card games against my little sister just so I could say I won! And whether or not you believe it, the photography industry is very competitive. From pricing, to what a photographer “gives” you as a client, to who has the most, who is always busy, etc. I try not to pay attention to any of that, and just tell myself that I am only competing against the photographer I was the day before, and at each session I strive to try something new, and be better then myself the day before. The best thing I have done for myself and my confidence for 2012 is compile a “Best Of” album. I am doing a bridal fair this coming weekend (be sure to come to Thanksgiving Point and check it all out on Saturday Jan 12, from 10-6!!) and I decided to do something of a “highlight tape”  if you will! I am OBSESSED with it. Not only do I have ALL of my beautiful brides in one album, but I get to show off all of their individual styles and personalities. I love each and every one of these couples in this album, and I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to not only get to know them, but become friends with and be part of something so special to them. I have had THE BEST brides ever in 2012 and cannot wait to see what 2013 has in store for me. But for now, a look back on my 2012 engagement sessions, the good, the beautiful, the gorgeous and the breathtaking! Much love to everyone in this album!! Thank you for allowing me into your world, and for helping me get to where I am today in this business. I am nothing without your love and support!  XO
