Utah State Capitol Bridals
I LOVE capturing the first look when the groom gets to sneak a peek of his bride dressed in white for the very first time. Doing bridals with Ashley and Tyler was so much fun and they are so CUTE together. I seriously can’t get over the look on Tyler’s face as he waited to see Ashley and then the added twirl so he could take her all in. She looked BEAUTIFUL, no doubt about it! The Utah State Capitol was the perfect place to capture these two together as they paraded over the grounds smiling the entire time.
How They Met
Ashley and Tyler met while they were both serving church missions for the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Oklahoma City. Sounds like they were meant to be at the same place at the same time!
Love Story
I hear it’s a long story where the two were friends for about four years but could never really get past being great friends. The two tried dating but because of the friendship element they said it was hard to be romantic. There was a lot of flirting and NEVER any kissing! Well, they stopped talking for a while and during that time they both realized how much they liked each other and so they gave it one last shot. Ashley and Tyler started dating for real and this time and were able to build upon their friendship. The two together, gave it a real shot and the romance followed much more easily this time around. Together they agreed that it took the separation to realize how much they meant to each other. They were engaged 3 months later with a beautiful wedding 6 months after that.
When He Said I Love You
I absolutely love hearing my clients (Who am I kidding, I consider them all friends! ) love stories and how they fell in love! Tyler told Ashley that he loved her while on a family vacation to California. He knew he loved her when he saw Ashley with her nieces and nephews and family. He loved how she was when she was with them and thought to himself, “I love her!” so he told her. I love what Ashley told me here, “The timing was funny because I had uninvited him on my trip about 3 days before and then re-invited him because I was scared things were going too fast, but then decided I wanted him to come.” Hahaha!! You gotta love a good on the fence story like that when it turns in to an amazing love story and brings a couple together. 
When She Said I Love You
It took Ashley a little longer to tell Tyler she loved him. A few weeks later they were sitting on her couch and had just made a freezer meal because the two were starving. She told me it was so nasty!!! This story gets better and BETTER!! They looked at each other and just started laughing and that’s when she knew she loved him. She found it was so easy to be herself around him. She loves that he has the best attitude and fought for her for so many years. After the laughs, she took him outside where it was a blizzard and she told him she loved him. She said he made her say it again and again! How CUTE is that ! There they danced and kissed in the snow. It bet it was magical! 
What They Love Most
It’s no surprise that the two of them have so much fun together! It doesn’t matter what they are doing. They both love their story. That their friendship lasted so long before it developed into a love and appreciation for each other they knew they couldn’t live without. They share the same goals and that makes life that much more exciting and rewarding! Favorite pastimes include, cuddling all nights, watching movies, making dinner together, long drives, playing with Ashley’s nieces and nephews, and traveling.
Wedding Day Vision
Rustic chic was the theme. Everything was very romantic and looked beautiful (you’ll have to wait and see pics from that day. Swoon!!) All the colors (blush pink, ivory, light grey, and gold) were muted and subtle. It was perfect!
