So, I know you are all SO impressed with me catching up on my blog right!? Well, I’m impressed with myself HAHA. I am LOVING reliving all of these amazing sessions! These Arlington Garden engagements in Pasadena, CA was such a blast. I love Brooke & Bryce to bits, and they are SO in love…it’s adorable.
How They Met
The first time Bryce and Brooke met was when he came home from his LDS mission and she had moved in…not only into his family’s home, but she had taken his room! Whoops! But after a few days of getting to know each other, they started hanging out and became best friends. Bryce is super shy, and a man of little words, but with Brooke, he couldn’t stop talking! They did everything together…went to the movies, went bowling, watched endless amounts of Netflix, cooked food…well ate the food, played games, shopped, sung and danced. The never wanted to stop hanging out! Once, they were playing a game Bryce made Brooke play and if she lost, she had to give him a kiss. She is SO glad she lost that game!
When did she KNOW?
The first time Bryce met Brooke’s mom (before they were even dating), he was serenading her in Spanish. Later that night, Brooke’s mom told her she was crazy if she didn’t give him a chance and that every girl would kill for a guy to look at her the way Bryce looked at Brooke. Boy was she right! After that talk, Brooke looked at Bryce in a totally different light and knew she was in love with him!
Their Relationship
The thing Brooke loves the most about their relationship is how they constantly balance each other out. For example, Bryce is the most patient person you will ever meet. Brooke, on the other hand, has what she calls “girl emotions.” But she says, even when she is being impossible (come on girls, we all have those moments), Bryce is patient with her and loving. She also loves how immature they can be and she hopes that never goes away. They laugh at everything, play dumb games (like the kissing one) and try not to take everything so seriously (Bryce has to help Brooke with this one sometimes). At the end of the day they love each other SO much, and they make sure to tell each other all the time! Awwww!
How He Asked
Bryce proposed to Brooke at the St. George Temple. They were taking a walk around the temple and she didn’t want to hold his hand because it was all sweaty and she had no idea why. He then took her over to a pretty spot and asked her to spend eternity with him! After laughing (yes, laughing, not crying) she said “Of Course!” Then it all made sense why his hands were sweating HA!
Marriage
When I asked Brooke what she is the most excited about getting married, she said “I am SO looking forward to just hanging out with my best friend every single day. It’s a dream come true! I can’t wait for us to cook together and just lay on the couch and fight over who’s night it is to pick what we watch. I can’t wait to grow with him, too, to accomplish our dreams and goals that we’ve been talking about for two years. I’m excited to be poor college students and to look back on these times when we literally just had each other…I could go on forever with this question…I’m just SO EXCITED!”
