Classic Philadelphia Wedding
Maureen and Brendan were married at THE cutest little east coast colonial cottage Philadelphia farm you have ever seen. Normandy Farms was quaint, beautiful and perfect for a late fall wedding! Maureen was a classic and timeless bride with the most gorgeous taste and eye for details. Watching her put on her jewelry looked like something straight out of a bridal magazine. Brendan was just as dapper! His room for prep didn’t get nearly the light and airy look that Maureen’s did (Groom’s rooms never do for some reason they are all pretty dark and “masculine”) but I was excited to use light in a different way and challenge myself to shoot outside of my usual style. I think his groom prep images are some of my favorites from the year! It helps that he is handsome and can’t take a bad picture!
I LOVED the natural black and white color palette that Maureen chose to use as well. The hint of blush mixed with furs to keep the girls warm were a perfect added touch and we NEEDED them! It was sunny but CHILLY! I am also the bride and groom opted for a first look!! With the time change, the sun was setting super early and we wouldn’t have had any time to do romantic portraits after their ceremony! I am so glad they opted to knock out all their portraits before the ceremony and just enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests!
Before the guests were allowed to take their seats, the bride and groom were able to sneak away and get a sneak peek at their incredibly warm and romantic reception!! They even got to sneak in a little private dance and share a moment at their sweetheart table before the party started! I LOVE when planners allow for this for their couples. Wedding days can be so hectic and so crazy, always trying to stay on a schedule and make sure everything goes to plan, but to take a minute before the celebration starts and just bask in your newlywed bliss is pretty great! If you are planning on getting married…remember THIS!
You put your heart and soul into making your wedding day one you’ll never forget. Let me capture each moment and help you remember it all. Every. Single. Amazing. Detail.
