That’s the whole point of a destination wedding engagement session, and it’s exactly why I bring it up with every single couple who books me, whether they’re getting married on the salt flats of Utah, the cliffs of Southern California, or somewhere along the coast near Cape May, New Jersey. I’ll see how the light actually moves through that location at the time of day you’re getting married. We’ll find the spots that photograph beautifully and quietly rule out the ones that don’t. You’ll also get a real preview of how your hair and makeup hold up on camera, in that climate, in that light — which is a much better place to troubleshoot than an hour before your ceremony.
