Downtown Houston Session
Downtown Houston Engagements
Downtown Houston has some of the most beautiful and vibrant scenery to offer! Take Armando and Miranda’s North Boulevard Engagement Session, for example. These lovebirds are beyond precious, and we had a TON of fun together. Read about their session and get to know them below!
About the Couple
Armando and Miranda started dating after being friends for a year and a half. One evening, Armando brought Miranda dinner at school before a performance of hers. When she stood up to leave, Armando — in the words of Miranda — “all the sudden got super nervous and spat out, ‘Hey, so…I know you’re really busy and uh…I’m like not busy at all, so would you maybe want to go on a date sometime??’”
The rest was history from that moment on. Armando and Miranda dated long distance for a summer while Miranda played at a summer music festival. At one point, Armando visited Miranda in Colorado and they hiked Aspen Mountain. About a third of the way up, Miranda just can’t take it anymore. According to Miranda, it was a difficult hike and Armando handled it like it was basically nothing. Miranda was embarrassed that they had to turn around because it was too much for her, but Armando didn’t care. All he cared about was being with her!
About the Session
Armando and Miranda found me through their venue’s preferred vendor list and via Instagram. I flew out to Houston to shoot their engagements. I shot their engagements at two popular spots in Downtown Houston- North Boulevard and Hermann Park. North Boulevard is probably the most beautiful spot in all of Houston. Not only does it have the most perfect Southern feel, but it also offers a romantic background for photos as well. This place is seriously gorgeous. Just look at those trees!
These two are the type of couple that just makes sense. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had during their session! It was so easy for me to capture the moments I have shared below because it all just came so natural for them. Towards the end of their session, we stopped at a popsicle stand. Miranda ordered something I had never heard of before…an AVOCADO popsicle. My first instinct was a mix of hesitancy and curiosity. That being said, I went for my regular, never-let-me-down lime popsicle. Lucky for me, though, Miranda let me try her avocado popsicle. You guys!! As soon as my tastebuds experienced the delicious wonders of an avocado popsicle, I KNEW I had to have one for myself!
Once I finished my lime popsicle, I went back to the popsicle stand for round two. Confession: My avocado popsicle was so stinkin’ delicious that, yes, I went back for a THIRD popsicle before we left the park. I may have consumed all the calories that night, but I will not stutter in telling you it was totally worth it!
