Grace + Michael | Married {Sonoma Wedding Photographer}

I have been trying to think of the perfect time to blog this wedding, and with this beautiful and amazing couple about to celebrate their one year anniversary next week…I thought we could take a stroll down memory lane and relive their PERFECT wedding day! Side note: I just made a FABULOUS sample album from their wedding day and I can’t help but share the album design because I am drooling over every single spread! Really the hardest part about album design is choosing what images to put in when every image makes your heart swoon! My hope and wish is that every one of my brides not only invest in beautiful photography but also in an album. Don’t settle for keeping your images tucked away on your flash drive or computer…get them on the walls and in an album that you can enjoy and show off to family, friends and posterity for years to come! I promise you will never regret it!

Now here are a few words from the beautiful bride about her day!

We traveled to northern California in the spring in search of the perfect destination for our wedding. Our hearts were set on an intimate ceremony in a beautiful location, and Sonoma delivered both. One hundred and forty six family and friends came from all corners of the United States to celebrate with us. We could not have dreamed a better day. Michael and I wanted our wedding to centered on the importance to us of family. The maids of honor were both my sisters and bridesmaids were Michael’s two sisters. The best man was his father and the groosmen (was at the time) his future brother in law. Ring bearer was his nephew Ethan.

We got married in the Catholic Church in the heart of Sonoma, Saint Francis Solano Catholic Church and the wedding reception was at Cline Cellars Vineyard. I chose white flowers with lots of luscious greenery and gold as my accent color. I wanted the wedding to be classic and elegant. I chose to follow tradition and used the tool around my bouquet was from my mothers wedding dress as my something old & my something borrowed was my mothers pearl ring which I wore on my right hand. We used toasting flutes that belonged to my parents that they used at their wedding 27 years ago! Our cake knife was used at my grandparents wedding (mother side), and it has been since used by my mother, her two sisters, and now passed down to me (the eldest of 3 girls). It has every couple’s first names and the date they got married engraved on the knife.

One of my favorite things was how we honored our lost loved ones. Michael and I have lost a lot of extended family members so we wanted to make a sign at the reception to honor the families who have personally lost them, letting them know they were there in spirit!
