Meet the Couple
Madison and Jonah were married on a gorgeous and sunny (yet CRAZY WINDY) day in LA! I am always so excited when I get couples who want me to travel and even MORE excited when that travel takes me back home! No matter where life takes me, So. Cal will ALWAYS be home!!
This wedding was such a special one to be part of for so many reasons, but one thing I will never forget is the way their families made me feel. They treated me like one of their own. You can tell how close these families are (I mean, Madison and Jonah have been best friends since High School….we even recreated their PROM pose!!), but to pull in a stranger who has been hired and treat them like FAMILY and someone who you love and care for makes them oh so special! I truly felt so honored to be celebrating these two right along with their closest friends and family.
One thing I believe Madison and Jonah’s wedding photos convey is just how much family means, and just how much they love one another. You can literally feel their love through these images. Let’s all take a moment to stop for a hot second and GUSH over Madison’s little nephew BEAU…what a little dreamboat! He ALMOST stole the show that day….keyword ALMOST. He was such a little ham that day and let’s be real…I couldn’t keep my camera off his cute little face! Ok…but really…I gave him his own folder when I delivered Madison her wedding images…but can you blame me???
Setting the Scene
So, here we are…it’s windy, but the show must go on. We have made our way through all the family photos and now we are just frolicking on the LA temple grounds, just the newlyweds and I. We basically have the grounds to ourselves and I intend on using every angle of this gorgeous temple!
As we are walking…and if you haven’t worked with me…as we walk…I use those walking moments to capture candids…and then the wind strikes…..AND THERE GOES HER VEIL AND IMMEDIATELY TAKES FLIGHT AND HONESTLY LANDS WHO KNOWS WHERE BUT MY GUESS IS THE 405 FREEWAY!!! It happened so dang fast and I mean that sucker TOOK OFF! All three of us just sat there, mouths wide open…like did THAT just happen?? Luckily, Madison is super easy going and just shrugged it off to something she will laugh about later (Madison, I hope you are laughing all over again!).
After the temple, we went to Madison’s home and was it a PARTY!! When the HABIT Burger truck pulled up, I think we all did a “Happy Dance”. I mean..HELLO delicious food! Burgers and fries? YES PLEASE!
The night was filled with family, friends, lots of hugs, and a ton of dancing! This wedding celebration was exactly what a couple’s wedding celebration should be! Lots of memories were made and I was grateful to not only be the one who captured them, but to also be a part of them as well. It was truly a night to remember.
