Bonneville Salt Flats
There is nothing like taking pictures at the Salt Flats here in Utah! The Bonneville Salt Flats are 90 minutes west of Salt Lake City, but when you get there you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
The Salt Flats are incomparable to that of anything else. That being said, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new adventure! If you do go, make sure you bring snacks and PLENTY of water- especially during the summer!
About the Mom
Meet Lydia! Lydia and I met while playing soccer for BYU. She was a junior and I was a freshman. This gal was an amazing, speedy and powerful soccer player! I LOVED playing alongside her! I also love that we have remained friends since college. It is so special getting to watch my friends grow their families.
About the Session
When Lydia asked me to take her maternity session photos, I was thrilled! I loved that she wanted her photos to be taken at the Bonneville Salt Flats. It was a bit of a drive for us, so we decided to make a girls trip out of it! We met up to make the drive together and spent the entire two-hour car ride catching up on all things LIFE. It was time well spent!!
You guys, this session was truly one for the books. Naturally, because she was having a boy, Lydia chose a BEAUTIFUL blue dress. The colors you are about to see in the colors below are unreal. Just look at the OPENNESS of the flats. So clean, simple and no background noise! These things made it extremely easy for all of the attention in the photos to be so perfectly set on Lydia.
Since the session, Lydia has given birth to her little boy named Emmitt, and they are going to call him Mitt. HOW CUTE IS THAT!?
