Meet Brooke

Emma and Justin’s San Diego formals are just as precious as they are! We started at one of the LDS San Diego temples where they would wed later in the week and then ended things at the beach as the sun was setting!

San Diego Formals

I remember Emma’s mom calling me about this session, worried about how we would fit it in before their big day. Formal sessions are ALL the rage these days with LDS brides, and I know it takes some moms a little adjusting to the idea. Luckily, when brides share my past sessions and show their moms exactly what they are wanting, they totally get on board and then it is SO much fun!

Because Emma was in UT before they got married, that meant we had a small window of opportunity for their formal session in San Diego. But we found a day that worked the week of their wedding and made magic happen. Julie (Mom) joined and having her their witness the first look was so special. She got to see Justin’s HUGE grin on his face when he saw her gorgeous daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. She totally teared up and I know that will be a lasting memory for all.

Special Memories

I think it is so special to include moms in on these sessions. LDS brides don’t have the whole “walking down the aisle” moment, so I love that we (as a Utah wedding industry) have found a way to give them their BIG MOMENT. Sharing this with your mom just makes it that much sweeter. As a mom to a daughter myself, I cannot imagine missing out on the moment when her future hubby gets to see her in all her bridal glory for the first time! What a special moment!!

Emma and Justin decided to have their first look at one the San Diego temples where they would be sealed for time and eternity, and I can think of no better place than that! After we spent some time on the temple grounds we all hopped in the car and drove as fast as we could to the coast to catch the tail end of sunlight at the beach! It was the perfect combo!
