Snowy Engagement Session
Today, I’m sharing Kaylie and Henry’s snowy engagement! The white snowy wonder and the gorgeous natural lighting paired with this beautiful couple made for some really romantic captures.
How We Met
Want to know something funny? I met Kaylie when she was still in High School. I shot her older sister, Sariah’s wedding (talk about a beautiful gene pool!!) and just fell in love with her whole family! After shooting that gorgeous wedding, the following spring they called me to shoot Kaylie’s senior pictures, and I, of course, said, “YES PLEASE!” Well, then Kaylie showed up looking like a TOTAL BOMBSHELL. She didn’t have a boyfriend, and honestly I was SHOCKED.! How could this gorgeous, ambitious, incredible girl be single!? I must have jumped up and down, screamed “YAAASS!!!” at least 20 times during her senior session. Her smile makes you smile, her eyes penetrate your soul and her personality is so warm and loving, you just want to be BFF’s with her! Kaylie truly was “the total package”.
Wedding Time
So, why was I shocked that the following year she was calling me to shoot her WEDDING?? I shouldn’t be…but then again we were just talking about Prom and graduations the year before! I KNEW that her “person” had to be just as incredible to sweep her off her feet so quickly. Enter Henry! He did NOT disappoint. He is her perfect match. I LOVED hearing how they met, why they chose their wedding date, and just how incredible their whirlwind romance was! It was magic….even fate! I will share the whole big story on the next post when I post their first look…so for now, just hold tight!
Snowy Engagements
Back to their engagement session….when Kaylie told me her color palette (and with the time of year they were getting married) I knew we had to shoot in the snowy mountains! These two are a true version of “outdoorsy” people…so the mountains were calling! They go hiking together, they rock climb together, they truly do “adventure” together! And with her adorable style, it’s no shock that I LOVE the images we came away with! The white snowy wonder, the gorgeous lighting and this beautiful couple madly in love…..YAAASSSS!!! Their chemistry is undeniable, and I forgot that I was “at work” while getting to hang out with them…it was so much fun and only made me more excited for their journey together and for their big day!
