I love capturing couples and families during the summer. Maybe it’s because I am a beach girl at heart and I get to spend extra time capturing moments in the sand and waves. But I also love heading up to the mountains to escape the heat, so it could just be summer itself. California Locations for Summer Portraits Inspiration
California is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL state for capturing summer portraits. But when it comes down to it, my four favorite Southern California locations to capture summer portraits are all the beach! Told ya, beach girl at heart! Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, San Juan Capistrano, and Newport Beach are where I find myself heading time and time again.

Utah Locations for Summer Portrait Inspiration
I know we have some “beaches” in Utah but I have to say, my top three favorite Utah locations to capture summer portraits are not going to be at the beach. I love heading to Tibble Fork and Hobble Creek for those who still want water, and Red Butte Garden for all the pretty summer blooms in your summer portraits.
