Michael and Chelsea’s engagement session took place at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, CA. Bathing suits, the ocean, and two super cute lovebirds coming right up! Get to know this darling duo below!
How We Met
I met Chelsea and Michael through a referral from a videographer friend of mine, Chris McClain.
Soon after, I set up a lunch date with Chelsea, her mom, and her grandmother to take place during their dress shopping trip to Utah. They were THE sweetest and we instantly hit it off! It felt like friendship from the start.
So much so, that Chelsea sent me pictures while dress shopping! It was so fun to see all her amazing choices. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I definitely voted YES on the one she chose! It was absolutely perfect and 100% Chels!!
About the Session
Chelsea took things one step further and brought the heat when she said she wanted her session in their swimsuits together and IN the water!! They decided to do their session at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego
Fun fact: Michael proposed to Chelsea during an evening walk at Newport Beach and, get this, beneath a full moon. SO romantic and dreamy, right?! *cue all the heart eyes*
Spending so much time together at the beach meant the beach will forever hold a special part of their journey together. That being said, Sunset Cliffs was THE perfect location for their engagement pictures. I am so excited to share these babes below!
Advice For Beach Sessions
When it comes to color palette, you simply cannot go wrong. The beach is so neutral, so any color will look good!
Wear long, flowy dresses. Of course, this is by no means a requirement. However, these are so romantic and whimsical on the beach!
Wear something you do not have to wear shoes with- especially if we are going to be on the beach! It’s just more natural when you’re barefoot.
The best thing about shooting on the beach is the LIGHTING. You get the prettiest, most golden warm tones. This is my absolute FAVORITE lighting to shoot in.
