Table Rock Beach Engagements
Happy Monday friends! Today I’m continuing my celebration of all things SoCal, since I’m hanging out in Orange County for the next week or so. I adore Jen & Josh and LOVE a good beach engagement session so I was thrilled when they chose Table Rock Beach near Laguna for their dreamy sunset shoot! 
How They Met
Jen met Josh while he was living with her best friend Alicia’s boyfriend Jordan (now husband)! Josh was a Craig’s List roommate find and he and Jordan became quick friends. Jen was living with Alicia at the time and they spend MANY weekends in Newport Beach hanging out with Alicia and the boys. Jen and Josh soon became good friends.
Their Love Story
Josh finally found the courage to ask Jen on a date after a solid month of HEAVY flirting. They had been friends for some time, but the more time they spent together, the more clear it became that friendship wasn’t going to be enough. Jen knew she was in love about one month into their relationship. It sounds quick, she says, but he’s pretty darn great! She even remembers the exact moment she knew, and even included it when they wrote their vows! They were lounging around one afternoon at her Costa Mesa apartment. She was playfully teasing him and he flashed her his great smile. She knew that moment that she loved him and was SO happy! (AWWW!)
How He Asked
One late November afternoon on the pretense of going “geocaching,” Jen & Josh ventured up to the top of the world in Laguna Beach. Josh got out the geocaching app and guided them to the first location that had a sign “beware of snakes.” Jen informed him they were most definitely skipping that one. (I’m with you Jen!!!) They climbed to the top lookout point and Josh guided her to the second geocache. It was a box that held small tokens of different memories of their time together. He then spoke some of the best words she has ever heard and asked her to marry him!
The Relationship
Jen loves that she doesn’t have to speak, Josh knows the direction of her thoughts by simply looking at her face. He makes her laugh the hardest, weirdest laugh EVER! Like full doubled over, belly laughs. She says she has never felt more loved than she does in his arms, and he makes sure she FEELS his love (OK, this is ADORABLE). They love to travel, explore new cuisines, cook, binge watch “How I Met Your Mother,” spend time with their mutual friends, and hiking together. When I asked her what she is the most excited about getting married she said “Spending every day coming home to my favorite person!”
