We’re pulling this summer winery wedding in Cape May, New Jersey out from 2018 because I am so excited that I get to capture another wedding at this location THIS SATURDAY! Because it’s been just a little while since the Ruben wedding, and my memory is not what it used to be, I don’t remember the details of their day. There is, however, one moment between Ben and Nina that I got to capture that I remember vividly.
As a wedding photographer, I understand the significance of having private moments on this day. While weddings are joyous occasions filled with family, friends, and so many festivities, it’s essential for couples to carve out intimate moments to connect with one another amidst the whirlwind of the day. A private moment not only allows you to savor the significance of the day but (when you allow your photographer in) you’ll create a memory that can be cherished and captured forever.
And that’s exactly what Ben and Nina did.
During their first look, they decided to read their own vows to one another. It was the first time I had had a couple do this and it was so emotional and special for the two of them. They cried, I’m pretty sure I was holding back my own tears and it’s something that was just theirs that day.

The other thing that I do remember about Ben and Nina’s wedding was the venue. If you’re a New Jersey bride and want that winery vibe, Willow Creek Winery & Farm is worth the look! Surrounded by the ocean and bay, this 50-acre vineyard has sweeping rows of grapevines and vineyard vistas providing the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
Ben and Nina had their ceremony outdoors with the vineyards as their setting and celebrated indoors in one of their beautiful tasting rooms.
Willow Creek Winery and Farm is such a stunning and romantic venue, I can’t wait to be back there on Saturday to capture another couple. For now, enjoy Ben and Nina’s summer winery wedding!
