Can you remember a time you were asked to share a fun fact about yourself? The nerves that took over as you racked your brain trying to think of a fact that would make you sound interesting making it even harder. Well, you can breathe– that’s not what this is!
One of the most important things, I think, when it comes to choosing a photographer — whether it’s for a portrait session or a wedding — is being able to connect well. When you have a photographer you just “click with” the entire process becomes a whole lot more fun. You’ll be able to let loose, have fun, and being in front of the camera won’t be as stressful. And believe me, when you’re having a great time, the images capture it.
So, hi, I’m Brooke! I wanted to share five things you should know about me— not because they’re super important, but because I truly want you to get to know who I am so when your session day arrives– it’s like we’re old friends.
Five Things You Should Know About Me
1. I wear a lot of hats.
Hats with the names business woman, photographer, educator, wife, and mama on them. I also work full time at the Red Cross… yeah, it’s a lot. And even though there are some rough moments, I absolutely LOVE every hat I wear.
2. I sold my engagement ring to purchase my camera.
And I have to say… it paid off! After the birth of my first child, I knew I needed to purchase a professional camera to take the images I wanted, and really start my photography career. But funds were tight and, well, cameras aren’t cheap. My husband and I have not for a second regretted that decision! And I still adore wearing my wedding band!
3. I constantly quote movies, memes, and songs!
They’re basically my love language! So if most of your responses are mostly memes– we can definitely be friends!
4. I could eat Mexican food for every meal… like every single one.
5. I’m passionate about capturing moments for YOU to cherish for a lifetime.
From the big ones to the small ones. That first look moment, the I Do’s, the dancing at the reception– it’s the beginning of your life together, the memories you’ll be able to share with your grandchildren.
And after that, I believe the simple, the messy, and the mundane should be photographed. Your littles are only little for so long, your high school senior is leaving for college soon, you’re moving to another city– the reasons are endless!
At the end of the day, I want to deliver a beautiful gallery of photos that capture stolen moments in time for you to have forever.
