The Solano’s Tulum Wedding

POV: Two years and a baby later, you celebrate your marriage in a beautiful Tulum wedding. 😍  Thanks to the worldwide lockdown, Chelsea and Miguel exchanged rings in 2020 and then celebrated their marriage on June 4, 2022 in the beautiful resort of Zamas in Tulum, Mexico. If you’re considering a wedding on the beach, or in Mexico, keep on reading for all the inspo!

The Tulum Wedding Venue: Zamas Hotel

With their bright colors and beach front view, the Zamas Hotel is a perfect location for every beach bride’s dream! Their playful design paired with the natural beauty of the sand, sea, and coconut trees offers the perfect backdrop for the vows and the afterparty. The venue is named after the Mayan word Zamá, meaning “new beginning” or “sunrise”, making it an even sweeter location to say “I Do”.

Choosing this location for Chelsea and Miguel was an easy one since it’s owned by Chelsea’s family and it’s where she grew up. Seriously, as you scroll through their Tulum wedding gallery, imagine how amazing it would be to grow up there!

Because of that, the staff at Zamas was just like family making their day extra sweet. It truly felt like a family affair as they came down to the beach to watch Chelsea and Miguel exchange vows. Tears may or may not have been shed as she hugged them all.

Chelsea hired Mariana, an AMAZING wedding coordinator. She helped connect Chelsea and Miguel to the vendors and on the day of the wedding, worked her butt off getting everything set up. She also made my job SUPER EASY… like I said, she was PHENOMENAL.

Tulum Wedding Day Details

From the maracas to brightly colored luggage tags that served as the seating chart, everything about this day was fun and tropical and so very TULUM. Even the weather.

There was a huge hurricane on the horizon that put a damper on the festivities… we truly weren’t sure it was going to happen until day of. With the rain holding off, Chelsea and Miguel shared their sweet vows under the palm trees, just like she wanted.

They had decided on a first look, thankfully, so after the I Do’s we got the family portraits, the bridesmaids images, and made it through 15 minutes of bride and groom portraits before the downpour started.

And it rained for HOURS and HOURS.

The rain postponed the grand entrance, but once everyone realized it wasn’t going to let up, they just moved forward with the reception festivities. Chelsea had dancers/performers there as a surprise for Miguel and they were a big hit! Their Tulum wedding was an absolute blast and I think it’s safe to say that everyone had a great time.

Miguel and Chelsea, it was such a JOY to capture your beautiful Tulum wedding celebration. Enjoy the gallery!
