Marina Del Rey Anniversary Session

Michael and Chelsea’s Romantic Marina Del Rey Anniversary session took place on their very own houseboat! This was such a fun and dreamy shoot. See for yourself below!

About the Couple

Meet Chelsea and Michael! The three of us have been friends for a few years now. You see, what originally started off as them simply being clients has turned into a friendship I am forever grateful for.

Chelsea is the type of friend that would truly drop anything for you. She is a call in the middle of the night, I’m only in CA for one day but let’s see each other kind of friend. And I know that her huge heart is exactly what attracted Michael to her. She is funny and caring, and my favorite texts from her are the ones that come out of nowhere! She really is ONE of a kind!

Marina Del Rey Anniversary Session

I shot their engagements on the beach in San Diego, their first look at Balboa Park in San Diego, and their wedding in the San Diego Temple (which now I see that I have failed to blog….brb, adding that to my list of 183864063 sessions to blog!). Each session was better than the next and lucky for me, their Marina Del Rey anniversary session on their boat did not disappoint either!

Michael is a professional beach volleyball player, so his need to be close to the beach played perfectly well into the purchase of their first “home” together! I love their adventurous spirit. You should see all the hard work they have put into making the inside look as gorgeous as the outside! These two are so much fun to be around and I truly LOVED that they wanted to capture not only their anniversary with me but also the beginning of their new adventure, yet again, together! It was my first time photographing on/around a boat and while it had its challenges, I LOVE how these images turned out. Plus, Chelsea is ALWAYS dressed to perfection! I loved the autumn tones of her dress. It fit so very perfectly into their fall wedding anniversary vibes. 🙂
