Does anyone notice a theme to my posts lately?! If you said they are all WINTER themed, then you are right…DING DING DING! Today is no exception with these super sunggly winter bridals and first look session at the Salt Lake Temple with my beautiful couple, Alyssa and Dylan.
How They Met
Dylan and Alyssa met at BYU-Idaho when a mutual friend invited them both to go play catch. Dylan says it was love at first sight for him, however, Alyssa didn’t wear her glasses and couldn’t see him. So, it was love at first “throw” for her HA! They talked and figured out they had so much in common! They have both been to Africa (JEALOUS!), and they both love baseball with a passion. He asked her on their first date and two hours later, they decided they were going to get married. Whoa!
Alyssa says there are so many moments when she knew Dylan was the one, it’s hard to just pick one. One day, a couple of weeks after they started dating, he told her that he was dating to get married–totally out of the blue! She freaked out inside but calmly said, “Well, we’ll see what happens…” HAHA, totally shut him down! Another time, a couple weeks after, they were on a road trip for the holidays and were driving along, quietly listening to Christmas music and he grabbed her hand, then her ring finger. That’s when she knew he was serious and SHE realized it was what she wanted more than anything!
How He Asked
Alyssa and Dylan were on a trip with her family to Adam-Ondi-Ahman to visit her grandparents on their LDS mission. Dylan walked Alyssa down to a beautiful overlook and knelt down and just popped the question…his face was all swollen from holding back tears. Awww! It was super simple, but totally wonderful. They both cried and watched the sunset. Then Dylan giggled like a weirdo the rest of the night. HA!
Alyssa and Dylan are looking forward to a life full of love, farts (WHAT?), and ice cream (Dylan can watch Alyssa eat a gallon in one sitting and never judges)….oh and cute babies!
